Magazinist is a duo of electroacoustic musicians who make sound for film, dance, installation, and live performance. Our work is drawn towards anachronistic instrumentation, hand-built sound objects, extended techniques, and post-minimalist aesthetics.

We have composed music for short films such as Untethered (2024) and Future Futures (2022); our work has been exhibited internationally as part of arts festivals such as Sonorities (Belfast, UK), Sound Scene (Washington, DC, USA), and the Prishtina International Film Festival (Pristina, Kosovo, EU).

We have held residencies in the Lobe Spatial Sound Studio and as live accompanists at the Department of Dance in the School of Contemporary Art at Simon Fraser University, and have performed in series curated by the Vancouver International Film Festival and VIVO Media Arts (Vancouver, Canada).
